Here’s how to set up a new account and place your first order on lukeslocal.com.

1. Click on “register” to create an account.

2. Once your account is created, click on Groceries, Office Catering, or Gifts & Holidays to start shopping.

3. Choose pick up or delivery in the left side bar. If choosing delivery, enter your zip code.

2. Select the day you are shopping for and start adding items to your cart! (You can also subscribe weekly to grocery items by checking the box to subscribe.)

3. Proceed to checkout by clicking “cart” then click “checkout” once you’re happy with your order.

4.  Enter in your delivery and payment information. Select a delivery window, enter any delivery notes, and if you have a coupon code, you can enter this at the end of the page in the Discount Code box.

5. Confirm your order, and you’re all set! We’ll send a confirmation of your order to your e-mail.

Q What is a Mealbox?
A The Luke’s Local Mealbox is a home-delivered box of produce, meals, and more, comprised of a selection of goods curated by us then hand selected by you.
Q How do I make a Mealbox?
A

Q Does Luke’s offer substitutions or custom meals or burritos?
A Unfortunately we are unable to fill custom requests for our prepared foods. We list all of the allergens on each product page— if you have a specific allergy, please contact us at mealbox [at] lukeslocal [dot] com for more information on our prepared foods. We are also unable to offer substitutions or changes to our curated boxes.
Q What is the cut-off time for Mealbox orders?
A Mealbox orders must be in by midnight the day before your delivery.
Q I need to cancel or reschedule my Mealbox order. What is the latest I can do this?
A We require 24 hours notice for Mealbox cancelations to receive a full refund. Less notice is required to re-schedule a box for another time/place in the same week, but boxes can not be rescheduled for later weeks. All food from orders canceled with less than 24 hours notice, will be donated to Food Runners.
Q Does Luke’s re-use their bags and other packaging?
A Yes! We re-use all of our bags, cold packs and insulated bags. You can leave your packaging outside for our delivery driver to pick-up when they deliver your next Mealbox. If you don’t plan on ordering another Mealbox, you can re-use or recycle our packaging as you like— we are currently unable to make separate stops to pick up packaging.
Q What is the shelf life of your Prepared Foods? Should they be eaten right away or can I freeze them for later?
A Meals received between Monday and Wednesday should be eaten by Sunday of that week. Any prepared cuts of fish or individual salads should be eaten by that Friday. If you receive meals on Thursday, or Friday, they should be eaten by the following Tuesday. Individual salads received on Thursday or Friday should be eaten by that Sunday. See individual items’ labels for most accurate information. Our meals and salads are best enjoyed fresh and we don’t recommend freezing.
Q How do you send mealboxes as a gift?
A If you would like to send a gift mealbox to a friend, enter your friend’s zip code in before you begin shopping to make sure it will go to the right address. When checking out, enter your friend’s shipping info into the delivery address field and your own billing info into the billing field.

Q Where do you currently deliver?
A

We currently deliver to San Francisco, South Bay and parts of the East Bay (Oakland, Alameda, Berkeley, Emeryville, Albany). If you live in an area that we do not currently deliver to, let us know at mealbox [at] lukeslocal [dot] com— we are always looking to expand our delivery area!

Q How much does delivery cost?
A All of our deliveries are $3.99. Any orders above $50 receive free delivery.
Q Do I need to be home to receive my delivery?
A

You don’t need to be home to accept your delivery— we can deliver boxes to your porch, to your doorman, or wherever is convenient for you (you can leave this information in the “your delivery notes” section when you place an order). All of our meals and perishable goods are delivered in insulated sleeves with ice packs, so no need to leave a cooler. Fruits and vegetables are not delivered in insulated sleeves, but stay fresh if they aren’t left in direct sunlight.

Q What if I can’t receive delivery at my home or office?
A If deliveries just don’t work for you, swing by our warehouse at 1750 Cesar Chavez St. Unit E on Mon-Thurs from 3pm-8pm or Fri 1-5pm to pick up your box! Just check the box “pick up your box” when placing an order.

Q

What is a “subscription”? How does it differ from a one-time order?       

A A subscription is a way for you to get the curated package you select on a weekly basis without having to worry about placing an order every week. If you select a one-time order, you will get your Mealbox one time, on the date you select.
Q I have a subscription that I would like to add an item to this week. How do I do this?
A If you would like to add items to your already existing subscription, you can place an additional one-time order in addition to your subscription by adding items to your cart for the same delivery day as your subscription. You can choose to have all of your items arrive in one consolidated Mealbox or choose a second delivery date.

I have a subscription but need to skip my box this week. How do I do that?

A

You can manage your subscription by going into “cart” and selecting “edit” next to your Grocery Subscription Order. Here you can choose to skip a week or suspend your subscription for a longer period of time by selecting to “skip ahead.” 

Q I want to cancel my subscription. How do I do this?
A You can cancel your subscription by going into your cart, clicking “edit,” and removing items from your cart.

Does Luke’s Local offer gift certificates?

A Yes we do! We currently sell cards in increments of $25— you can purchase separate $25 cards, or purchase multiple cards and combine them into a larger gift. We will send you or the recipient a e-card with the redemption code and details on how to redeem their gift— let us know how you would like to receive the gift in the “notes” section during checkout.

I have a gift certificate or promotional code for Luke’s. How do I apply this?

A You can enter your promotional code during checkout on the same page where you enter your payment information and select a delivery date and time. If you are having any problems redeeming your code, please e-mail us at mealbox [at] lukeslocal [dot] com.

Do you offer nutritional facts for your prepared foods?

A

We do not currently offer nutritional facts for any of our prepared foods. We are working on obtaining this information for our burritos— we will post this information on our website once it becomes available. We will always list any allergens in each product description page.
