Spring Cleaning: Cellar Restock

We know that the winter months can wreak havoc on your “cellar” (aka:wine fridge, coat closet, beer fridge, dusty corner, under your bed, under your pillow, hey we all have our own little secret spots…)

We also know that it can be hard to think about replenishing your party supplies during dry January/February, and March is just so rainy.  Spring is finally here and we are stocked up to the ceilings with many tasty treats to help you replenish your cellar in order to celebrate all the spring things!  Wildflowers, baby birds, puppies, little tiny baby kittens, Thing 1 and Thing 2…  you know what they want you to do.  Drink more alcohol!

Come on down to Luke’s Local for whole month of April & May and check out these amazingly special selections that we’re putting on sale just for the benefit of your personal party supply.  Over 50 wines, spirits, and cocktails on sale, we even threw in a beer and a cider for good measure!  Don’t sleep on these (especially the top shelf), because for many of these super limited wines, when they’re gone, they’re gone.
Happy Spring Cleaning!

"I love making a big batch of caponata in the summer to have in my fridge all week. It’s great with pretty much anything- meat, fish, toast, fried eggs, cheese- it’s just delish! This recipe makes things a bit easier by roasted the eggplant and folding it in at the end. Traditionally, pine nuts are mixed in but I like garnishing with almonds since we live in the almond mecca and this way they add nice crunch to the dish. Caponata is better made at least a day in advance as well to allow the flavors to meld together. Even people who are weary of eggplant won’t be able to resist the sweet, tart and rich flavor of this caponata!"
