We operate a bustling brick and mortar market on Cole and Parnassus in the heart of Cole Valley, and have a second market opening in Cow Hollow in November of 2020! Luke’s offers a same-day grocery delivery and pick up service from both locations. About you
The Florist/Flower Buyer position is a fun and interactive position at Luke’s Local. You’ll help beautify the store, while getting to know the customers and sharing your knowledge with them. You’ll build relationships with local farms and receive the freshest seasonally available flowers.
About the Job
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ordering flowers 3 times a week for delivery on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
- Picking up specialty flowers, greenery and vases from the Flower Market.
- Having a knowledge of flower names and seasonality.
- Keeping buckets and flowers fresh by washing them every shift.
- Making 15-20 bouquets every shift. Making a few single variety bunches (greens, peonies, sunflowers)
- Create and update the BYOB tickets.
- Receive orders and create products on REVEL. Up
- Update the BYOB flower list.
- Be available for big Flower Holidays and increase production for those days.
